Meetings between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and the IsDB Institute on the Development of the Islamic Finance Ecosystem On 6–7 August 2026, working meetings were held in Dushanbe between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and the IsDB Institute, with the participation of representatives of government institutions and the country’s financial and banking sector. The meetings focused on the development of the Islamic finance ecosystem in Tajikistan, strengthening institutional and regulatory capacity, creating a conducive environment for investment and mobilization of financial resources, as well as exploring the potential role of Islamic finance in supporting the development of the green economy. The participants also exchanged views on further areas of cooperation, capacity building for government institutions and financial market participants, development of human capital, and strengthening inter-institutional coordination under the proposed Technical Assistance. The meetings represented an important step towards further preparation of the Technical Assistance and advancing the proposed measures to support the sustainable development of the Islamic finance ecosystem in the Republic of Tajikistan.
